Warriors aren't really worth anything without backup so 1v1's or 1v2's you'll almost always lose. Your self heal reaches its efficiency only when you're not being pounded on and not being targeted. Your main goal if you find yourself in a 1v1 is just to kill the other guy as fast as possible, not try to stay alive.
Against casters, [skill]Crippling Slash[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill][skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill] is good as long as they can't shut you down. If they can then just run away and cry mommy, you can't really do anything about it.
Against other Warriors or Dervs you really need [skill]Dragon Slash[/skill] to win DPS-wise, try to ignore them, have your Monk put Guardian on you to discourage them. Against 'Sins if your Monk is really incompetent to stop a spike then just take [skill]Deadly Riposte[/skill] to screw their chain or [skill]Shield Bash[/skill]. Against Rangers just don't bother fighting them.
Sword kinda sucks for pure damage or in PvE without Factions.

Compared to builds with Factions skills, the possibilities with only Prophecies and Nightfall don't have the same 'relatively' high DPS (Dragon Slash spam). 1v1 and 1v2 is stupid, as this is a team game, and you'd want a dedicated build for farming.
For damage, your bar should begin with something like this:
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Final Thrust[/skill]
If you're not using another elite, you can replace Sever Artery with Crippling Slash.
For staying alive, you'll want Healing Signet unless you trust your heroes/henchmen. You can also bring hex/condition removal if you want to take up your secondary profession. The rest of the bar then depends on how you want to play.

dude i told you 5 skills what do you want
the other 3 can be up to you well maybe 2 cause youll want a rez sig hopefully
dont bring heal sig youre only gimping yourslef just trust your monks... srsly how was mine not helpful i gave you more than 50% of your bar do you need someone to feed you 8 skills when you could search a bar yourself? or maybe go into obs mode watch a sword warrior for like 5 min see his bar bring that to pve and still own things?
hand fed gg

As previously mentioned, Conjure Cripslash is definately the way to go. My preferred PvE version goes something like this:
[card]Crippling Slash[/card][card]Gash[/card][card]Sun and Moon Slash[/card][card]Standing Slash[/card][card]Flail[/card][card]Lion's Comfort[/card][card]Conjure Lightning[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card]
Attributes are something like 16 Swordsmanship, 10 Air Magic, 9 Strength, 2 Tactics. You can drop the Resurrection Signet for another type of rez or replace it all-together. I very rarely use it, and by that I mean when I'm being really reckless or turn around for 10 seconds or so to look at the TV. I've used it once, maybe twice in the whole of GWEN (Norn and EV done so far).

Want of attention? Awesome job throwing a random preposition in after a verb, using the incorrect form of "you are," and then telling someone else to "go back to school." His posts were much more intelligent sounding than the trainwreck you just posted. Normally I wouldn't care, but I just can't resist when there's hypocrisy involved.

He gave you the basic idea for the build, what else do you need?
Do you really need someone to spoon feed you everything because you can't figure out anything for yourself?
Although Kaze, not rambling with a run-on would be nice, you know.
And Healing Signet is not trash, if you need to split to chase someone or kill something, which happens very often, it can save you in most situations or at least buy enough time to get help.

Why use Gash with Crippling Slash? Doesn't Gash require your target to be Bleeding (not Crippled) to be of any use? I'll go check GuildWiki, but the descriptions for the icons on this page don't mention Bleeding under Crippling Slash...
EDIT: Nevermind... the pop-up description doesn't mention Bleeding, but the full description under GuildWiki does.

WHY would you run an elite snare on a Warrior in PvE?
Mobs don't kite in normal mode so it's useless.
In hard mode with the inherent +50% speed boost, even while crippled, if you use Flail you won't be able to catch up to them regardless.
